Question

What’s your process for writing a UGC script that doesn’t sound cringe?

Posted by •10/29/2025
I'm trying to write short scripts for UGC creators but everything I write sounds like an ad.

Like: "This changed my life" type stuff… I hate it.

Do you have a structure/template that feels natural?

Best tip: start with the problem on screen, not the face talking.

Like first shot is the mess / struggle. Then they speak.

When it starts with "Hey guys" I scroll instantly.

If your script would feel weird to say to your friend, it's cringe.

Write it like you're texting someone.

Also: creators love when you give them “talking points” instead of a word-for-word script.

Use a “moment” script, not a hype script.

Template:
1) Context: “I was doing ___ and ___ happened”
2) Pain: “This always annoys me because ___”
3) Discovery: “I saw this thing that ___”
4) Demo: show it working (no talking needed here)
5) Result: “Now I can ___ without ___”

Avoid superlatives. No “game changer”, no “changed my life”. People can smell it.
