Struggling to write product descriptions… any tips?

My product descriptions always sound boring or too generic. I do not want to sound like Amazon text but I also do not know how to write copy that actually sells. Any tips?

Yeah my descriptions sound like generic Amazon listings. I will try that problem–promise–proof structure.

Read your copy out loud. If it sounds like something a normal person would never say, rewrite it.

Start with a simple formula: problem, promise, proof, details, FAQ. Do not try to sound fancy, just clear.
