Question

My pages are indexed but not ranking at all… what should I fix first?

Posted by •11/20/2025
I have a small niche store and Google Search Console shows pages are indexed.

But rankings are basically nonexistent. Even for long-tail keywords.

What's the priority list? Backlinks? Content? Site speed? I don't wanna do 50 things at once.

I made the mistake of buying backlinks early. Waste.

Then I fixed my content to match actual searches, and rankings improved without links.

Links help, but only AFTER you have something worth linking to.

Priority order for beginners:
1) Search intent match (are you answering what they actually want?)
2) On-page basics (titles, H1, internal links)
3) Site speed + mobile UX
4) Content depth (not length, depth)
5) Backlinks (later)

Most stores fail at #1. They write "product descriptions" and call it SEO.

Pick ONE keyword cluster and build a real guide around it.
