Is urgency still effective or are people immune to it?

Countdown timers, “limited stock”, “ending soon”…
Do these still work or do people just ignore them now?
I don't want my store to feel scammy but I also don't want zero urgency.

I trust stores LESS when everything is “ending in 5 minutes”.
But I do react to real deadlines like shipping or delivery windows.

Fake urgency is dead.
Real urgency still works.
Examples:
- shipping cutoff
- limited batch
- bonus expiring
If urgency is true, show it. If it's fake, users smell it instantly.
