Question
How many creatives do you ACTUALLY need before running ads?
Posted by •10/22/2025
I keep hearing "test creatives, not products" but I don't get the baseline.
If I have a new product, how many videos/images do I need before I even start spending?
Right now I have 2 videos and 3 images and I'm not sure if I'm setting myself up to fail.

Me too. I launched with 2 vids, spent €80, got nothing, and I blamed the product.
Then I made 8 more videos and suddenly one angle started getting ATCs.
It's annoying but yeah… volume matters.

I'll simplify it:
Make 10 ugly videos with your phone.
Seriously. 10.
Half will be trash, 2 will be decent, 1 might pop. But you need enough volume to let the platform find the winner.
Also: don't make 10 "different edits" of the same idea. Make different hooks.

Baseline that saves you pain:
- 3 distinct ANGLES (different reasons to buy)
- 2 variations per angle
So minimum 6 creatives.
Angle examples:
1) pain/problem (annoying moment)
2) convenience/time saver
3) result/transformation
If you run 2 videos and they flop, you don't know if the product is bad or the angle is bad. More variety = clearer signal.
