How do you write a good hook for ad videos?

The hook always confuses me. Everyone says it is the most important part of the video but I do not really know what makes a strong hook. Any examples?

I was starting with logos and slow intros. I will try problem-first hooks instead.

Visually you also need a hook. Something moving, a fast change, or a pattern interrupt in the first second.

Call out the problem or the person you are talking to in the first line. “If your back hurts from sitting all day…” is a simple example.
