Question

Google Shopping suspended my Merchant Center… what usually causes this?

Posted by •11/12/2025
I finally set up Google Merchant Center and I got suspended after like 1 day.

It says something about misrepresentation / policy but I'm not even doing anything shady.

Store has:
- shipping policy
- refund policy
- contact page

What are the common reasons? I'm in EU if that matters.

Also check:
- domain verification in Search Console
- your contact page matches your footer info
- no "too good to be true" claims

Google sees thousands of scam stores so the bar is high.

Fix the basics, request review, and don't keep making new accounts (that makes it worse).

Common causes (seen this a lot):
- missing business address or inconsistent address
- refunds/returns policy too vague
- no phone number (not always required but helps)
- shipping times look unrealistic (like "5-7 days" but supplier is 20)
- product prices mismatch between feed and site
- checkout doesn't show total cost clearly

Google is strict. Make your store look like a real business, not a one-week store.

Thanks. I think my shipping times are the weak link.

I wrote 5-10 days but in reality it's probably 12-18. I thought shorter looks better but maybe that's what triggers it.
