Do long product pages still work or is everyone just skimming now?

I'm seeing two extremes:
- super short pages with clean design
- huge long pages with tons of sections
What actually works in 2025? I feel like people don't read anymore, but also short pages feel like they don't build trust.

I run "long" pages but 70% of it is visuals + bullets.
My rule: every section must answer one question:
- what is it
- who is it for
- why should I trust you
- what happens if it doesn't work
If the section doesn't answer a real question, delete it.

Slight sarcasm but true: people don't read your paragraphs because you wrote them like a Terms & Conditions.
Use short lines. Big headlines. Show proof. Stop writing like you're getting paid per word.

People skim, but that doesn't mean "short".
Long pages work when they're:
- visual
- broken into sections
- scannable headlines
- proof sprinkled in
Make it long for the buyer who needs reassurance, and skimmable for the buyer who's ready.
