ChatGPT product descriptions sound so fake... help?

I am trying to save money on copywriters so I used GPT-4. \n\nI asked it to describe my portable humidifier and it wrote: "Elevate your atmosphere with the pinnacle of hydration technology." \n\nNobody talks like that! It sounds like a scammy infomercial. Does anyone have good prompts to make it sound like a normal human wrote it?

Lol mine always says "Unlock the power of..." for a $15 kitchen gadget. I usually just delete half the adjectives it gives me.

You have to tell it NOT to use "marketing fluff". \n\nTry this prompt: "Write a description for this product as if you are explaining it to a friend. Use short sentences. Focus on the benefits (no dry skin, better sleep) rather than the features. Do not use words like elevate, unleash, or pinnacle."
